After years of waiting to see the newest muscle car addition to the automobile world, Chevrolet's Camaro (new and improved) doesn't just live up to all of the hype but it definitely shows what a muscle car can be if done with excellence.
2010 Chevrolet Camaro - A Muscle Car
The new Camaro is powerful regardless if it's equipped with the standard direct-injected V6 or the upgraded V8 option. The V6 powered Camaro is able to get up to 60 mph in about 6.0 seconds. The reason is primarily due to the 300 horses it has. But the V8 upgraded model can jump to 60 mph in a blazing 5.0 seconds, thanks to the 426 horses it packs. And the handling of the new 2010 Camaro is superb, able to handle turns and curves while going over 60 mph.

When it comes to the body trims, Chevy made it their purpose to give buyers several options to choose from. The 2010 Camaro comes in five different trim levels, which includes: base LS, 1LT, 2LT, 1SS, and the 2SS. The V6 comes in the LS, 1LT and the 2LT trim levels, while the V8 option will be found in the 1SS and 2SS trims.

The LS standard equipment is loaded with front bucket seats with power-reclining seatbacks, cloth upholstery, keyless entry, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel, cruise control, air-conditioning, a CD/MP3 system and 18-inch black steel wheels. And yes, the CD/MP3 audio system does have satellite radio equipped with an auxiliary audio jack. The 1LT comes with added foglamps, a six-way power driver seat and 18-inch alloy wheels. The 2LT adds a little more equipment with heated side mirrors, leather upholstery, a USB audio system with Bluetooth technology, auto-dimming capability for the driver-side and inside mirrors, heated power front seats, as well as a Boston acoustics audio system with the controls located on the steering wheel.
The 1SS has SS-exclusive interior and exterior styling with 20-inch aluminum wheels. It also comes with Brembo brakes, and the engine is a 6.2-liter V8. The 2SS combines the 2LT's standard equipment and the 1SS's sporty style and performance hardware.
Available with the new 2010 Chevrolet Camaro are two optional packages. With the 1LT model you can add the Convenience and Connectivity package. This package adds a USB port, a cargo net, remote start, Bluetooth technology, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and mounted audio controls on the steering wheel. The other package is the RS package, which is available on all V6 models excluding the LS model. The RS package adds a spoiler, 20-inch aluminum wheels, xenon headlights and other enhancements on the exterior. More options available on all except the LS model are options for special graphics on the exterior and a sunroof.
The new 2010 Camaro is a sure thing for drivers who are attracted to muscle cars. It's powerful, attractive and has a host of equipment that will definitely satisfy. It can give luxury performance vehicles a run for their money, thanks to its raw power, superb handling and incredible suspension tuning. The price for the V6 model is a bargain at around $22K and it produces great speed and a sophisticated feel, while the V8 is priced thousands more, it'll deliver at full throttle the classic roar that you would expect from a muscle car.
But even with the performance and power, the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro still handles quite well around town and on the highway when it comes to the comfort of the ride and noise from the outside. There's no doubt, this Camaro is a winner on so many levels.
